Data Deletion Request

We respect your right to have your personal data deleted. If you want to permanently remove all your data from Melo, you can request deletion through the following methods:

WhatsApp Request

Send a message to our WhatsApp bot with the text:

"Delete my data"

You'll receive a confirmation within 24 hours.

Email Request

Send an email to:

privacy@melo.com

Include your WhatsApp number for verification.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

  • All your expense records and transaction history
  • Your WhatsApp number and profile information
  • All chat conversations with our bot
  • Your spending categories and preferences
  • Any analytics data associated with your account

Processing Time

Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. We'll send you a confirmation once the deletion is complete. Please note that some backup data may take up to 90 days to be completely removed from all systems.

Important Notes

  • Irreversible Action: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
  • Service Access: You can continue using Melo after deletion, but will start fresh
  • Legal Retention: Some data may be retained if required by law
  • Third-party Data: Data shared with AI processing services will also be deleted

Alternative: Data Export

Before deleting your data, you might want to export it for your records. Send "Export my data" to our WhatsApp bot to receive a complete copy of your expense history.
